‘We are changing the narrative’: meet the new faces of Australian fashion week | Australian fashion week

Australian fashion week was ready for a change in late 2019. Before a global pandemic irrevocably changed the fashion industry, live events and just about everything else, the week’s organisers had already announced a significant shift: the public would be able to buy tickets to what was previously a trade-only event.

Last year’s shows did not go on, but IMG, the global events company that runs Australian fashion week, is optimistic about the 2021 edition. Barring public health emergencies, the event will begin on 31 May.

Ticketed runway shows are now one of a slew of changes to the

New York Fashion Week (NYFW) in September will be a mix of physical shows and digital events, the latest sign that the fashion world may be inching back to the traditional in-person events that were the norm before the pandemic forced everything to go virtual.

The event, scheduled for 8-12 September, gained the commitment of 11 leading designers that will present their collections at NYFW for three seasons, according to IMG, which produces shows for NYFW. Telfar, Proenza Schouler, Rodarte, Brandon Maxwell, Altuzarra, Jason Wu, Monse, Prabal Gurung, Sergio Hudson,

Since its inception in 2013, luxury fashion brand Pyer Moss, led by its founder Kerby Jean- Raymond, has continued to serve as a constant source of inspiration for the slew of budding Black designers following in its footsteps. With Raymond’s brainchild capturing the attention of celebrities and politicians such as Zendaya, Issa Rae, and Kamala Harris, just to name a few, the unapologetically Black brand is proof that you don’t have to conform to reach new levels of success. Its latest accomplishment is yet another example.

The brand announced on Wednesday that it was

‘No food or toilet & forced to change tampons in public:’ Top model rages at Georgian Fashion Week, claims horror work conditions

Models working at Fashion Week Tbilisi are being accommodated in a building with no toilet, and left without food or transportation. That’s according to successful international star Tako Natsvlishvili, who has strongly objected.

“I’m tired of being treated like a piece of s**t,” she wrote on her Instagram page on Sunday, and claimed that another leading participant, Marisha Urushadze, may have had her account on the platform blocked for speaking up, on the same subject, earlier.

“Long story short, we had no place to sit comfortably, no toilet in the same building… no transportation, NO FOOD,” Natsvlishvili alleged. The international

What Are People Shopping Right Now? Vogue Took to the Streets to Find Out

What did you buy today?

David: A couple things. I got a Moncler cardigan, she got a t-shirt, and we got an Hermès scarf as well.

Is this your first time coming out shopping?

Karolina: It’s not the first time, we’ve been out before. It was a bit unexpected.

How are you planning to style your pieces?

David: The piece I got, it’s reversible. I hadn’t seen a Moncler piece that’s reversible so you could put a polo underneath the cardigan or maybe a t-shirt.

Karolina: For me, high waisted jeans, a striped t-shirt, and an Hermès scarf.

David: She’s

Alaska Fashion Week kicks off in Juneau, organizers hope to make it an annual tradition

Alaska Fashion Week kicks off Thursday night in Juneau and event organizers hope it’s just the first in an annual tradition.

The event, which runs Thursday through Sunday, is made up of a string of activities. It starts with a film screening, then a city tour, a whiskey tasting and — of course —a runway show and after-party. But it’s not all about dressing up and checking out the latest trends.

Cordova Pleasants owns Resolute Boutique in Juneau and is heading up Alaska Fashion Week. She says her mission is to educate people about fast fashion and sustainability.

K-Pop Stars Who Could Totally Rock These Trends From 2021 FW Seoul Fashion Week

The 2021 F/W Seoul Fashion Week took place at the end of April with a completely digital format, but that didn’t mean it had less appeal and excitement than live runway shows. It was even more amazing because viewers got to virtually see and experience iconic landmarks in Seoul such as the National Museum, Oil Tank Culture Park, Dongdaemun Design Plaza, and the Han River Park. Standing out from these must-visit backgrounds were masterpieces from talented Korean designers. Here are some of the hottest trends that I’ve re-imagined with K-pop stars based on their current styles.
