AZ Factory Will Cap Off Paris Fashion Week With a Show Celebrating Alber Elbaz

When Alber Elbaz died in April, fashion lost not only one of its most celebrated designers but one of its best cheerleaders. Elbaz was a glue between designers, retailers, and fans, often appearing in the front rows of other brands’ shows and offering words of wisdom to anyone who crossed his path. His runway shows, too, were some of fashion’s most fun, with good music, snacks, and revelry replacing the froideur that can permeate other events. At Paris Fashion Week this September, Elbaz’s label AZ Factory will commemorate his spirit with a runway show in his honor called “Love Brings

Virtual FIRC Fashion Show returns this week

Family & Intercultural Resource Center’s annual fashion show, typically held at the Riverwalk Center in Breckenridge, is once again virtual this summer. The theme this year is decades of fashion, particularly the fashion of the 1950s through the 2000s.

People can watch the show on SCTV, TV8 Summit, Facebook.com/SummitFIRC or on the resource center’s own website at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 24. The fundraising event is free to watch again as well, rather than requiring a $75 ticket, but donations are encouraged.

People can also visit the fashion show website to play trivia games about each decade.

Sea change: Prada show celebrates post-Covid re-emergence at the beach | Prada

For a brand known for its angular, urban and emotionless aesthetic, it’s quite something to see a Prada show take place on a joyful, life enhancing beach.

And yet, here we are for the brand’s spring/summer 2022 show. The latest collection from fashion dream team Raf Simons and Miuccia Prada sees models leaving the suffocating confines of a tunnel-like underground club-cum-runway lit in devilish red, for the aquamarine shores of a heavenly, sunkissed Sardinian beach.

In a show that used the phrases “tunnel to joy” and “urgency of feelings” as its key words, this journey was clearly a metaphor for

Peter Do Announces His First New York Fashion Week Runway Show

Our show will be a hybrid of digital and IRL, blurring the line between what is real and what is not. There is a duality in the nature of all our processes and we are always pushing the boundaries of the liminal space that exists between the digital world and real life. It’s always been very important for us to have offline moments as a family even though the brand was built on the internet. We’ve made so many memories watching old shows together and dreaming of one day creating one ourselves.

This show is an opportunity for us to

Palomar’s Fashion Merchandising & Design Program hosts its end-of-year fashion show on YouTube, in keeping with fashion industry practices during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Victoria Beckham admits she can’t afford a show at Fashion Week this year

Victoria Beckham has admitted she can’t afford to put on a runway show during Fashion Week in September.

Speaking to Evening Standard editor Emily Sheffield for London Rising on Thursday, the 47-year-old designer confessed her eponymous label is struggling financially after the pandemic.

She also lamented that big labels such as Burberry and Chanel will be able to carry on as normal, confessing she’d hoped the pandemic would have ‘levelled the playing field’.

The admission comes after it was revealed Victoria’s fashion label has racked up total losses of more than £46 million since it launched.

Victoria Beckham’s namesake fashion line, VVB, may have a cult following, but the pandemic still took a big toll on the brand. So much so, that the 47-year-old designer may have to skip Fashion Week, which is happening in September 2021.

“I do still believe the best way to see fashion is a fashion show. To see the clothes, to hear the clothes, to see the models in the clothes. It’s hard to find a way that beat that,” Beckham told the Evening Standard in a Thursday, April 29, interview.

Even though an IRL show would
