Don’t be surprised if there is a frantic frenzy to score Tom Ford-era Gucci over the next few months. This past week, Kylie Jenner posed in front of a mammoth blue SVU while wearing rare, psychedelic, aqua Gucci pants from the men’s spring collection from 2001. There’s a good story behind it, too: Her stylists bought the archival piece from the 19-year-old student-collector Nilesh Rodrigo, aka @thesonofsex. Keep an eye on this vintage-dealin’ guy!
In New York, Livia Rose Johnson, the creator of the recently launched @multiimedia, celebrated the buzzy success of her platform in a sheer top by the yesterday label Spanki and a pair of Y2K-style pants by I.am.gia covered in buckles. Speaking of success, the singer Dana Dentana released her new music video “Do You Like Me Now?” and graced us with a beyond fierce image of herself in a bronze tube top and low-slung pants.
Ella Emhoff, who is studying at Parsons School of Design, has been having a bit of viral success with her striped, deliciously colorful knit pants. (Remember, this is the woman who brought Batsheva to the inauguration). This past weekend, she hosted a raffle for a pair of those in-demand woven pants and had the proceeds go to @forthegworls and @theokraproject, two organizations that raise money for the Black trans community. If you missed out on the raffle and still want to donate, head to the pages of forthegworls.party and theokraproject.com.
Also, Cardi B is making us want to get dressed up. She assured fans that she was sorry for not alerting her fans about her Reebok shoe drop on her Instagram, while wearing a Jean Paul Gaultier and a mustard yellow Birkin. While the shoes are sold-out online, at least Cardi B looked good!
Finally, if you’re feeling like you need a jolt of energy, take a look at Tracee Ellis Ross. The actress wore a can’t-miss-it lime green turtleneck and huge Chanel glasses for her WFH moment. The caption read: “SHADES OF GREEN for today’s zooming”
